LEARN TO DIVE
WHY LEARN TO DIVE IN COLD WATER - WHEN YOU CAN DO YOUR PADI e-LEARNING AND GET YOUR PADI CERTIFICATION IN 85 DEGREE WATER IN ONE OF THE TOP DIVE DESTINATIONS IN THE WORLD?
PADI OPEN WATER DIVER CERTIFICATION
Our instructors are familiar with all areas of the Rainbow Reef and are experienced professionals. At Sau Bay, we cater only to our own guests, so you're guaranteed to have a low student to teacher ratio. Very likely you will experience one-on-one instruction! Rest assured, you will be in great hands. If you are ready to "plunge in" to get your OW certification, start with Step 1 below.
Step 1: Take PADI e-Learning Course
The first step in getting certified at Sau Bay Resort & Spa is to sign up for the PADI e-Learning. This course will provide the theory on diving physics and physiology, as well as other aspects of diving you need to become familiar with to become a certified diver. Once you register for the course, you just need to complete your on-line course, at which time our dive shop will be notified that you have completed your PADI eLearning. Note that the cost of the e-Learning is separate from the instruction charged by Sau Bay Resort & Spa.
Step 2: Conduct Confined Water Skills at Resort
Once you complete your PADI e-Learning, you simply arrive at the resort to complete the in-water skills in preparation for your open water certification dives. The in-water skills are taught within the protected confined waters of Sau Bay - just a few steps from our dive shop and your bure. As another option, you can also opt to complete your pool skills before coming to Sau Bay and just complete the open water certification dives upon arrival.
Step 3: Complete your Certification Dives on the Rainbow Reef!!
Upon completion of your skills in confined water, your instructor wil take you out to the reef to complete your certification dives. This will involve diving from our dive boats. Our instructors will take you to a reef where you will feel comfortable on your first open water dives.
Step 4: Get your PADI Open Water Certification Card
When you complete your open water certification dives, we will "process" your certification with PADI. You will have the option to donate to reef conservation and receive a physical card or e-card. You will also receive a temporary certification card that you can use immediately at other resorts or dive centers while you await your final c-card.
