As a special excursion, visit a local pearl farm off Taveuni Island known as Civa Pearls.  Owned by aquaculturist Claude Privost, Civa is involved in a local sustainable aquaculture program designed to rehabilitate cylone-impacted reefs.  Your excursion includes a visit to the pearl farm where Claude himself explains the process of raising oysters and culturing different types of pearls.  You will also have the opportunity to purchase pearls and pearl jewelry directly from Civa. Snorkeling gear, lunch, beverages and snacks are included.
